  2. These are the masks designed for the Airscale Hawker Typhoon R8884 TF-L of 183 Squadron. The markings are specifically as applied during Exercise Spartan and include the white identifying stripe along the nose. Also masks for wheel centres and wing walkways.

  4. These are the masks designed for the Airscale Hawker Typhoon JP843 OV-T of 197 Squadron. The masks include the underwing identification stripes, wheel centres, wing walkways and the aircraft letter (T in this case) worn by most 197 Squadron Typhoons on the leading edge of the wing inboard of the inner cannon.

  5. This is my latest offering a Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-4 of 4/JG53 based in Tunisia in 1943. I used the profile in the 1/72 scale Eduard kit instructions as inspirations although all the makings here are drawn by me. It is option I here https://eduard-cdn.oxyshop.cloud/out/media/2112.pdf

The Eduard 1/72 scale kits are fantastic too btw.

I found the easiest way to do the national makings is to paint the areas to me maked white first then fit the white masks and paint the black areas. Finally cover the makings with a "coverall" mask and paint the camouflage. There are a few shots showing the nose insignia process. The dotted lines are for the wing walks.

    Enjoy

  6. Main markings for a Hurricane IIc of 34 Sqn, Palel, India, 1943-44.  It had an interesting colour scheme according to the reference I found: a variant of Azure Blue underneath, with Dark Earth/Dark Green in a modified pattern above.  The Azure is there as many aircraft in this theatre at this time were diverted from their original destination of the Middle East, so carried a desert scheme originally.    Here's the original courtesy of "tomthounaojam" on Britmodeller.

Sized for the Arma Hobby 1/48 Kit, but no doubt adaptable to other scales.  Includes spares of each marking.

  8. Hallo!

not sure if the bomb markings are realisable for non-laser cutters, as the laser removes the "filling" of the bombs.
For better handling, the overall size is slightly larger than the decal. (abou 2,5 mm higher than the decal)

photos of the result will follow

  14. Quite tricky masks to both draw and use, the fist insignia needs to be built up in layers.

  15. The 1/32 scale Italeri Tornado kits (at time of submission IDS, ECR and GR4 boxings) have a wing glove in a vinyl-like material to protect the slot the wings sweep back into.  It occurred to me while building my GR4 that this would need masking for painting, so I knocked up these masks.  The top one is for part 4J (port), under that 3J (starboard).

NB: I have tested these against the wing glove parts, but have not tested them yet on the assembled model.  When I have I'll update them if need be.

  17. This gun plate was designed to cover the forward-facing .303 machine gun housing on the Airfix 1/48 scale Anson. I don't think the Anson trainers in Canada were armed, so here is my quick fix.

(Of course, after I drafted, printed, and attached my plate, I found a photo that shows a better representation than I originally built. (as seen in my primed fuselage half.)

The fix is easy though. Before printing, reduce the "X" and "Y" scale by 30%. Also - the thickness is very thin and fragile after curing, so do not reduce the "Z" scale at this time, rather, after it is printed, sand it as thin as you need.

OMG..... OR..... You could simply use part #17 ?   IDK...

  19. Exportet as .svg from Lightburn. I hope it´s usable for maybe other machines like plotters.

Just ignore the wavy outline of the "Miss Virginia"-Lettering, it comes out just fine, because of the small size.

  24. I used this project as a medium to learn how to use Silhouette Studio (and to replace the Bf 109E in the 1/48 Airfix Dogfight Double kit with a more factually accurate Bf 109F-4 that saw action over Malta).

I haven't cut it yet on my cameo, but the scalable vector maps should be usable for any masking between 1/48 and 1/32 scales.

    Please check sizes are appropriate.

  25. Created a mask for the Vertical Tail that shows the pic of Teddy Roosevelt. This is for 1/48 scale, but I assume can be scaled to 1/32. A caveat is I haven't tested it yet
