  1. Started by MikeC,

Codes-RAF I saw a thread on LSP recently, in which the OP described the difficulties with installing certain fonts, which are recognised by MS WOrd and other software, but not picked up by the Silhouette Studio software. The process the poster described was basically the one I used: Type up the lettering you want in MS Word, scan it in, and manipulate it until you have your codes in your studio 3 file. What a bother! But there is no way round it. However, the thread reminded me that I had created this file, but not uploaded it here. SO better late than never, here it is. It contains all the letters and numerals in two of the most common font…

  6. 1/32 Spitfire Mk.I PR Type A Roundels Set of masks for roundels and camera apertures for Kotare's 1/32 scale Spitfire Mk.I PR Type A. Nothing too fancy, I just copied the dimensions of the kit decals. This file contains roundels for both marking options in the kit, as well as masks for the two camera apertures, one in each wing. A note - the kit instructions tell you to drill a 5mm hole for the lenses - dont! Use a file and carefully ream out the hole, test fitting the lens until it's a friction fit. 5mm seems too large, I think mine is 4.65mm, I have made the aperture masks to fit my hole. Your mileage may vary! File Information Sub…

  13. Hi guys, Looking for Luftwaffe Werknummer files - does anyone have them? I have had a trawl around and surprisingly can't see any...lots of crosses, swastikas and chevrons etc Ideally looking for a choice of both 'split stencil' style and regular solid numbers, since I'm not sure what type (Bf109 G-10 "Gigi") had, plus I'm sure that both sorts will no doubt come in useful down the line... Any help / pointers much appreciated Nick

  18. View File Camouflage and insignia masks for Mk IX Spitfire These masks were drawn from the Tamiya instructions for their Mk IX Spitfire but are probably useable on many types as a generic scheme. Please note, I drew these for my own use, they are not perfect and not professionally produced so will probably need "tweaking" if you decide to use them. The screenshots show location of the camouflage sections, it presumes that a base coat of Ocean Grey has been applied so these allow for Dark Green only. UPDATE 26/3/21 I've amended the file for the fuselage; on fitting the masks to my model I found that I had omitted to provide a …

Deutsche Luftwaffe Here I have Luftwaffe letters and numbers from World War II, with and without borders, in the correct format. The black characters are shown as written for character spacing. The yellow characters have the borders typical of the Luftwaffe at that time. The blue characters have no borders. The yellow and blue characters are all individual so you can place them as you need them. The size is also adjustable for the appropriate scale. Don't worry about the colors; they are for illustrative purposes only and do not interfere with the plotter cutting process. Have fun using the templates! Bf-109G-4 JG 53 .studio3 This is my latest offering a Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-4 of 4/JG53 based in Tunisia in 1943. I used the profile in the 1/72 scale Eduard kit instructions as inspirations although all the makings here are drawn by me. It is option I here https://eduard-cdn.oxyshop.cloud/out/media/2112.pdf The Eduard 1/72 scale kits are fantastic too btw. I found the easiest way to do the national makings is to paint the areas to me maked white first then fit the white masks and paint the black areas. Finally cover the makings with a "coverall" mask and paint the camouflage. There are a few shots showing the nose insignia process. The dotted lines are for the wing…

  24. I've been approached by the former owner and pilot of the Hawker Hunter "Miss Demeanour" to build him a replica of the aircraft in 1:48 for a trophy. The long and short of it is, I need some custom masks cutting for the star patterns. Does anyone know of anyone who's doing this, 1ManArmy excepted, I've spoken with Sven and he's flat out. Any contacts gratefully received, thanks
