Hurricane Camouflage Scheme A 1/48

View File

My first post so go gentle!

This is the Arma Hobby Paint Scheme A which Arma Hobby kindly made available as a PDF on their website https://armahobbynews.pl/en/blog/2019/01/03/masks-for-hurricane-models-pattern-a-and-b/.

I will post the Scheme B once I have converted and tidied up. Hope you find it useful.

Very useful Mikeja, many thanks! 😃

Nice tracing, Mikeja.

Too bad Arma Hobby didn't give us a vector pdf ... which would have generated the cut lines.

It is very simple to take the vector line with a free open source image editing software. I used the Inkscape.

1. Take a screenshot and fill in the inside of the silhouette. (Black color) You can use any bitmap image editor, including a paint app.

2. Go to the Inkscape and use the "Trace bitmap".

It is unfortunate that I can't share my example images.

Agreed 👍, but my point was that Arma could easily provide a vector pdf to save us cutters a little effort.

I do manual tracing within the Silhouette Studio program ... the Studio auto trace feature is getting better, but not precise enough for items like canopy masks.
