View File XT278-809NAS.studio3 The Airfix 1/48 Buccaneer was always considered a difficult build, but all that changed with the later new tooling, which has been released in both RAF and RN versions. I've always liked the "Banana Jet", and found that suddenly I have one built, one on the bench and one in the queue. If I had one complaint about the S2C/D (the FAA boxing) it is that it has four schemes, all in overall Extra Dark Sea Grey. I'm awkward, so found myself a picture of an early scheme on an aircraft of 809 Naval Air Squadron embarked in HMS Hermes in 1966. Regrettably I can't post it here due to copyright…

View File 1/32 Scale US stars and bars Made this file for stars and bars mask for a P-51. Scaled for the different sizes. Printed them on Tamiya sheet paper on a silhouette portrait 3, blade depth 1, force 6, speed 1, pass 1. There was very minimal lifting on a couple star points but using a rubber cuticle pusher, was able to return the points to their correct position. View File Airfix Anson Gun Plate This gun plate was designed to cover the forward-facing .303 machine gun housing on the Airfix 1/48 scale Anson. I don't think the Anson trainers in Canada were armed, so here is my quick fix. (Of course, after I drafted, printed, and attached my plate, I found a photo that shows a better representation than I originally built. (as seen in my primed fuselage half.) The fix is easy though. Before printing, reduce the "X" and "Y" scale by 30%. Also - the thickness is very thin and fragile after curing, so do not reduce the "Z" scale at this time, rather, after it is printed, sand it as …

Does anyone have a mask of the scallop pattern that's used on the leading edge of the later model wing leading edges? I am not confident in free handing it. Thanks in advance!

View File Italeri32-wing-gloves.studio3 The 1/32 scale Italeri Tornado kits (at time of submission IDS, ECR and GR4 boxings) have a wing glove in a vinyl-like material to protect the slot the wings sweep back into. It occurred to me while building my GR4 that this would need masking for painting, so I knocked up these masks. The top one is for part 4J (port), under that 3J (starboard).
