  1. These are the masks designed for the Airscale Hawker Typhoon R8884 TF-L of 183 Squadron. The markings are specifically as applied during Exercise Spartan and include the white identifying stripe along the nose. Also masks for wheel centres and wing walkways.

  2. These are the masks designed for the Airscale Hawker Typhoon JP843 OV-T of 197 Squadron. The masks include the underwing identification stripes, wheel centres, wing walkways and the aircraft letter (T in this case) worn by most 197 Squadron Typhoons on the leading edge of the wing inboard of the inner cannon.

  7. This is my solution to replicate the rib tapes and stitching seen on biplanes with fabric-covered wings and also some monoplanes which still had fabric covered elevators, rudders etc such as the Hurricane shown in my photograph.

  8. Quite tricky masks to both draw and use, the fist insignia needs to be built up in layers.

  9. Canopy masks, inside and out for the Hawker Hunter.  The masks were produced specifically for the Echelon Vac form kit, comparisons with the Revell Hunter show that the latter canopy is slightly wider than the Echelon so if used, these masks may need a bit of tweaking.

  13. After a little nudge from Mike C., I've tweaked my rather indifferent first attempts at canopy masks for the Fisher Hunter T7.  It's not an easy mask designing project due a) to the shape of the canopies b) the not too good definition on my canopy between glass and metal framing and c) a slight inconsistency in size for the canopy sections ie left and right of the main canopy and matching sections of the front.  So using these masks comes with a caveat:  they fit well but not perfectly so on the front ones especially you will need a fresh blade in your scalpel to make small adjustments!  Nonetheless, I hope they are useful to those fortunate to have this Fisher conversion.

  14. These masks were drawn from the Tamiya instructions for their Mk IX Spitfire but are probably useable on many types as a generic scheme.  Please note, I drew these for my own use, they are not perfect and not professionally produced so will probably need "tweaking" if you decide to use them.  The screenshots show location of the camouflage sections, it presumes that a base coat of Ocean Grey has been applied so these allow for Dark Green only.

UPDATE 26/3/21  I've amended the file for the fuselage; on fitting the masks to my model I found that I had omitted to provide a mask for the port side above the tailplane, this is now included and positioned on the sheet in the bottom right hand corner.  Also amended are the engine panels, the original versions were too high.
UPDATE 27/3/21  Another amendment, the fin flashes were slightly too large but have been altered to fit.  I've also added the mask for the upper engine panel, shown on the sheet as "Nose".
