Here are German WW1 Maltese Crosses, sized for the 1/72 Fokker Triplane. Three sizes: Large(14mm) , for the top wing, Medium(12mm) for the bottom wing, and small (8mm) for the fuselage sides and rudder. I grouped them with an outline box to make them easier to remove from the sheet. If you want them a different size, ungroup a cross, then resize the image to the desired size, then draw a new box around it. If you want to make a matching mask for a white outline, just cut with a an appropriate offset margin.

  3. I had one decal, and needed four for the bottom wings. I scanned the decal, then cut a quartet of masks using Artool Ultramask in my Cameo4. I am very happy with the results- They look so much better than decals!
  4. Scratchbuilt RC model, 42” LOA. I bought my Cameo4 for projects like this. I used it to make the masks for the flight deck, including the elevators and numbers. A little OT for this group, but I also cut a lot of little parts with the Cameo, out of .010 and .020 sheet styrene. The Cameo is a great tool when you need about 50 little triangular brackets, all the exact same size!
  5. My cameo4 is flaky on the bluetooth as well. The Silhouette support page called out this setting: “In the Bluetooth Settings window, make sure the option "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" is checked.” Mine wasn’t- checking it made it more reliable. But sometimes it is still cranky, so I just use the cable.... I am mostly cutting small masks for 1/72 aircraft, so I use a mat for it all. Seems like overkill to use a roll for a 2x3 inch cut... A couple of guys in my IPMS club also have cutters, and they recommended using Artool Ultramask. It was a little harder to find, but it is great stuff. Just tge right amount of tack- no bleed under, but no adhesive residue left behind, and no issues puling up paint- even Vallejo acrylics!
  6. I bought my Cameo4 about a year ago. I mostly use it to make parts for my RC scale ships, and masks for my 1/72 aircraft. I picked the Cameo over the Cricut Maker because of the software- I found that Studio was similar to InkScape, a program I was already using, which cut the learning curve!
