What I am trying fathom out is how the "offset" (the angle of the knife) is put into the hobby machines. I use 45% knives and the Offset is 0.43mm. That is set, as my knives are precision ground.
Mal i just use the regular 90 vertical but then that’s how cameo works. Your plotter is definitely more advanced and your knives of much better quality. It took me trial and error to figure out the thickness limit of styrene etc -

I'm looking to see if the hobby cutters can be of use to me. More for cutting other mediums than masks but there are a few of the parameters that I have not been able to get my head around. So I may be asking some inane questions to try and work them out for myself? Standby🙄
Mal shoot anytime. I have used the cameo to cut styrene i use a fresh blade for that. I often do parts with the cutter so i can replicate them. It’s quite useful. Until the formlabs3 lands at least 😂 -
Mal i do agree with you. I have been using Oracal oramask810 for the past years and it sure does work fine too. I usually jump between the two when i run out of either!

Good morning to all!
Happy to be here and happy to finally see the idea of an online repository of user made masks has finally seen the light. I use a cameo 2 for plotting and the silhouette designer business edition along with adobe illustrator for the design phase of the masks. I look forward to to sharing my work here for others to be able to use them too!
also happy to see here some familiar faces from other forums!
