HI all,

I stumbled across this on a thread in Britmodeller, and I've done a few masks in the past and will be happy to share them.
I've always generated .svg files in Inkscape, and converted to .eps for a Creation P-Cut I've had for ages, which has actually been pretty good.
I've just taken delivery of a Cameo 5 which so far hasn't been as good as I'd hoped, but I guess I just haven't found the best settings yet.

Welcome aboard! I've not heard of the Creation P-Cut before, so it's interesting that you find the Cameo 5 not as good. I only have a humble Portrait 2, so I'd love to hear more about your thoughts on and experiences with the Cameo.

Indeed, as an ancient Cameo 2 (11 years plus) user, I would be interested to hear what the issues are. Sometimes less is more…..mine is working fine but if it ever falls over I’ll be going down the Portrait route.

Thanks for your responses :)
The Creation P-Cut must be over 15+ years old now, designed to take 600mm wide media, and popular with signwriting businesses. It's huge, but still capable of doing canopy stencils.
The Cameo is half the size, and since my last post I've played around with the settings some more, and I'm getting the hang of it now.

From reading the reviews of the Cameo 5 I knew it had to be my setup, and not the cutter at issue, although some reported that the blade seemed to take a while to start cutting cleanly, and this was certainly my experience.

The most recent jobs have come out well, so for anyone interested, I've found the best settings for Oramask 810 are pressure 24, speed 3, depth 3 and single pass.

I also found that it works better without using the flip up guide slot.

I'd be interested to hear how this compares to other folks' setup.
