Airscale Hawker Typhoon masks
I have recently uploaded the marking masks for the Airscale Hawker Typhoon which is due for release in the New Year. The chosen schemes are a) for 183 Squadron R8884, a very early production Tiffy, portrayed in its distinctive markings worn during Exercise Spartan and b) JP843 of 197 Squadron. Both are car-door variants but differ slightly in several areas. The masks include wheel centres on both as are wing walkways. R8884 had a broad stripe running from just aft of the spinner, terminating forward of the cockpit so masks for this are provided. On JP843 there are masks for the black and white ID stripes painted under the wings, 12 and 24 inch in width on the real thing. QR codes will be on the box which link to these masks. When available and designed I’ll be uploading the masks for the canopy. Max

Looking for Luftwaffe Werknummer files - does anyone have them?
Hi guys, Looking for Luftwaffe Werknummer files - does anyone have them? I have had a trawl around and surprisingly can't see any...lots of crosses, swastikas and chevrons etc Ideally looking for a choice of both 'split stencil' style and regular solid numbers, since I'm not sure what type (Bf109 G-10 "Gigi") had, plus I'm sure that both sorts will no doubt come in useful down the line... Any help / pointers much appreciated Nick

Bf-109G-4 JG 53 .studio3
- 5 downloads
- Version 1.0.0
This is my latest offering a Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-4 of 4/JG53 based in Tunisia in 1943. I used the profile in the 1/72 scale Eduard kit instructions as inspirations although all the makings here are drawn by me. It is option I here https://eduard-cdn.oxyshop.cloud/out/media/2112.pdf The Eduard 1/72 scale kits are fantastic too btw. I found the easiest way to do the national makings is to paint the areas to me maked white first then fit the white masks and paint the black areas. Finally cover the makings with a "coverall" mask and paint the camouflage. There are a few shots showing the nose insignia process. The dotted lines are for the wing walks. Enjoy John - 1/32 GB Racer

Hawker Fury I
A Start I'm building the AlleyCat (originally Montex) Hawker Fury, a resin and white metal kit in 1/32 scale: The full build is logged on the Large Scale Planes forum here so this will simply be the painting and masking stage. Choice of subject was difficult but in the end I decided on because it was colourful and very different to the normal silver finish seen on Furies of the interwar period. It presents quite a challenge when it comes to painting and masking, a combination of trainer yellow, Dark Earth and Dark Green camouflage and polished aluminium on the side nose panels. The transfers supplied with the kit cover this aeroplane, K8267 but of course I decided to design and cut my own masks for most of the markings: The transfers would be useful to scan, import into the Silhouette software and trace, similarly the colour scheme shown in the instructions gave me an idea of the camouflage pattern, though a little research caused some doubt in my mind about the scheme's accuracy: Is there really a rectangular background behind the "7", and is there a yellow background to the wing tips? It's always dangerous trying to interpret old black and white photos, especially this grainy, so I decided just to go with the scheme. Yellow wing tips here I think: Max
