  1. I've tried Amazon and Craft Cutter Supply. Perhaps I'm not using the correct search terms but I thought "Kabuki tape" would at least bring up some results but nope, nothing more than Tamiya tape and the like. I have Oramask 810 but for some projects, I just want the Kabuki masks. I think they perform a bit better.
  2. Working with a Cameo 4 and I managed to get a set of masks cut (using Oramask 810). I had to guess at the material I was cutting and chose Vinyl-Matte... It seemed to work well. There's so many questions I have about doing artwork for cutting. I use Adobe Illustrator but I have not yet invested in the upgraded Silouette software (that's about to change though). Are there instructions on how to design artwork, how to set up the roll feed, and why the damn machine always throws out way more material out the back than I need (using the rear cutter)? I had to rewind the roll and cut only what I needed from said roll with a pair of scissors...not the neatest cut by far so the next load will have to be a little wasteful. I have read the instruction manual but it seems to be lacking the information I'm looking for. That or I just don't know what I need or can't find what I want. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  3. Hahaha...you may be right that one must be American. I can't speak to the internationality of that commercial but I'm thinking it was domestic US only. Thanks for the tip on the newest additions to the included version of the software. I'll wait to see what the latest version has with it before committing to purchase the upgrade.
  4. Mainly because I haven't opened it yet. I just added the title for those of us who remember the old commercial about the lady washing her hair and couldn't do a thing with it.... I guess you gotta be a boomer to remember that commercial. Anyway, the box is sitting on a chair next to me and I'm almost ready to crack it open and have a look at what's in the box. From reading, I guess it's best to invest in the design software from Silouette rather than just the stock software as it gives you better/more options?
  5. Looking to get started in mask making and am a total novice. I'll be looking at the Silouette line of cutters but not sure what I need or what I might need in the future as my skill and experience grows. I see a lot of us from LSP on here and any advice is appreciated.
